WR Vincent Jackson announced that his Danny Dogtags children’s book will officially be on sale to the public. The second in the planned trilogy, co-authored by Jackson and his wife  Lindsay who is a former elementary school teacher, is titled “Danny Dogtags: Soccer Hero” and will be available through online retailers starting September 6.

Proceeds from the sale of the Danny Dogtags series books  directly benefits the Jackson in Action 83 Foundation. The foundation provides support for military families focusing primarily on the educational and emotional as well as the physical well being of children.

When asked about the book, Jackson said, “This is the second. We hope it will be a three-part series around our main character and that’s Danny Dogtags. The first book came out about a year and a half ago. It talked about how Danny dealt with deployment. It’s a great family story. It’s a great chance for parents to sit down with young military kids and it helps them to explain the tough times that they’re going through.”
