LEO’S LOSERS : SEASON RECAP
By Leo Haggerty

Well, the collegiate bowl season and the College Football Playoff results are in the books.  The National Football League is heading into the Divisional round of its post season so it’s time to draw the curtain on the 2018-19 football season.  That means it’s “put up or shut” time as the final arithmetic is calculated.

LEO’S LOCK (10-6-1) was good for 2 Benjamins.  LEO’S LOSERS (45-40) was a robust 4-1 to end the campaign with 525 yen.  LEO’S OTHERS (100-70) finished with a strong 8-2 week that was good for a grand in the black.  That brought my Week 17 total to $1,725 to the good.

So, how did I do for the year?  I finished 155-116-1 and that was good for $3,775. Yes, that’s my short-term investment banker whimpering in the background.

But wait because there’s more.  Let’s shift to my Bowl Predictions.  I was 24-16-1 (yes, the Boise State – Boston College contest was cancelled due to lightning and we are way too familiar with that living in Florida).  That added 400 pesos to my total.

Plus, you cannot forget the Week 16 Unders that netted another 400 greenbacks.  Can’t tell you why it happens but it just does.

That put another 800 big ones in my money clip.  That brings the season-ending total to $4,575.  Not a bad year if I do say so myself.

Well, that wraps up Leo’s Losers for 2018.  See you in September (that sounds like a nice title for a song, right?) for the 2019 edition.
