POLL QUESTION – AUGUST 16
By Leo Haggerty

It’s Sunday in the Big City.  That’s can only mean the next edition of our weekly poll question.
Here’s the next poll question and I’ll give all of our loyal readers a bit of a hint.  It’s the first part of a four-part query and it is:

WHICH 3 LIVING ATHLETES WOULD YOU WANT TO  DINNER

We have eight responses from our staff and to say they’re diverse is an understatement.  Enjoy.

JOHN LENTZ – KSP NCAA MEN’S BASKETBALL ANALYST
Julius (Dr. J) Erving & Charles Barkley & Larry Bird

T.J. SHARPE – KSP AFC CHEF
Charles Barkley – athletics meets commentary.  Not only would it be funny as hell, it would be enlightening too. Barkley’s social and political views are an added bonus, and in a world that gets taken aback by everything and everyone, his straightforward approach would be oh-so-refreshing.

Tom Brady – One GOAT needs to be in attendance, and while Michael Jordan would also be fun, I want to talk football, and there’s no one that combines success and cerebral like TB12. (plus, the “Shut your mouth, Chuck” thing from the COVID golf match-up will make for great entertainment)
Derek Jeter – Championships. Yankee legend. Models.  Manhattan nightclubs. No other contemporary player could match #2 for impact on and off the field, outside of Jordan, and the extracurricular activities, plus the allure of having a baseball guy at the table who is transformative across sports, pushes him ahead of MJ, Griffey, Trout, Harper, etc…

KAZ RIVARD – KSP NFC NORTH CORRESPONDENT
Brett Favre & Peyton Manning & Dennis Rodman – would have to be entertaining!

MIKE SCHULZE – GUEST CONTRIBUTOR
Jack Nicklaus & Herschel Walker & Magic Johnson

JASON RUBIN – KSP AFC EAST CORRESPONDENT
Michael Jordan: greatest athlete of all time.  Warrick Dunn: favorite football player.  OJ Simpson: I’d get some answers out of him.

ANGELO DIBIASE – KSP NCAA WOMEN’S BASKETBALL ANALYST
Deshaun Watson & Tiger Woods & Connor McGregor
JEFFREY NEIL FOX – PUBLISHER OF ITS SPORTS MAGAZINE
Joe Namath & Tiger Woods & Michael Jordan

LEO HAGGERTY – EDITOR ITS SPORTS MAGAZINE
Going “Old School” with my choices.  Dan Marino : Revolutionized the game because he had the arm strength to defeat the Cover 2 concept.  Wayne Gretzky : I want to definitely break bread with anyone who’s referred to as “The Great One” in their sport.  Jack Nicklaus : “The Golden Bear” falls under the same category as the previous individual.
