LEO’S LOSERS WEEK 7 – OCTOBER 23
By Leo Haggerty
A bit of a roller coaster week. The one thing you need to expect is the unexpected in this season of the pandemic so let’s get right to last week’s results.
LEO’S LOCK (5-1) got back to its winning ways. That added 200 pesos to my bank account. LEO’S LOSERS (19-11) was a modest 3-2 and it was the right trifecta with two being dogs. That was good for 175 greenbacks. LEO’S OTHERS (35-25) was a pedestrian 5-5 (35-25) but this was the wrong fistful. That cost me 300 marks.
So, here’s the arithmetic for Week 6. I finished with a 9-7 record and that was good for 75 lira. Obviously, not a big week but still one where I ended up in the black.
That increases my 2020 log to 59-37. It also takes my winning to 2,100 rubles much to the chagrin of my short term investment banker.
Without further adieu, let’s get to my Week 7 prognostications. Here’s hoping for continued success. Enjoy.
PITTSBURGH (+9 1/2) loses to Notre Dame
Auburn (-3 1/2) loses to MISSISSIPPI
This is a tough one because you don’t know which team is going to show up. I’m going with the Rebels because they’re at home and they are a point scoring machine. MISS, 48-40, in a high scoring affair.
Iowa State (+3 1/2) loses to OKLAHOMA STATE
After the opening loss, the Cyclones got the train
SOUTHERN METHODIST (-2 1/2) loses to Cincinnati
Carolina (+7 1/2) loses to NEW ORLEANS
