USF returns home to take on Tulsa Friday night at Raymond James Stadium.  Kickoff if schedule for 7:30 pm ET.

The Bulls enter the the contest at 1-4 (0-3 in the American Athletic Conference) and in the midst of a four-game losing skid.  The Golden Hurricanes have split their only two contests (1-0 in the AAC) with three games having to be altered due to the pandemic.

There are two big factors that I need to explore before I even attempt to make a prediction on the outcome of this tilt.  The first is which South Florida team will show up at the RayJay?  Will it be the one that fought to the bitter end losing a 39-37 heartbreaker at Temple last weekend or will it be the squad that was totally outclassed against ECU in their last home affair?

The second is that TU will be playing their first game in 20 days.  Their last contest was a surprising 34-26 victory at UCF in a monsoon.  Will the Golden Hurricanes show signs of rust from inactivity and how long will that occur?

With all that being said, it’s time for my prognostication.  I believe that the Green & Gold will take advantage of Tulsa’s inactivity early.  By the time the Golden Hurricanes get their sea legs, USF will have got out to a lead that they will find a way to protect.  USF, 30-23, with a late stop to garner their first AAC win.
