The Louisiana-Lafayette game with Coastal Carolina has been cancelled due to Covid. I have substituted that with OREGON STATE (+7) loses to Arizona State. Also scrubbed for the same reason was the Duke tilt with Florida State. That is being replaced by Stanford (+7) loses to UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA-LOS ANGELES.

Hopefully, this is the last revision I need to make.

OK, I hit a bump in the road. Not a pothole but a speed bump but, before I explain why that occurred, let me bring one thing to you attention.

Normally, LEO’S LOSERS comes out on Friday.

This week it’s coming out a day early due to the fact that I have a credential for the ACC Championship up in Charlotte. I will be posting an ACC PREVIEW column tomorrow a day ahead of the Notre Dame – Clemson rematch.

For the second straight week I had to return a portion of my previous winnings to my short term investment banker. Here’s how it played out.

LEO’S LOCK (10-4) came up short for the second straight week and I have only myself to blame. I completely forgot that the 49ers had to move their home games from San Francisco to Arizona. That lapse of memory cost me 400 Euros. LEO’S LOSERS (45-25) was a very respectable 4-1 and that put 375 francs in my bank account. LEO’S OTHERS (84-56) was a less than stellar 4-6. That hit my bank roll for 300 pesos.

So, after doing the math as I always suggest that you do, my final total for Week 14 was 8-8. That doesn’t seem bad but it was the wrong eight so that left me in the red to the tune of 325 greenbacks.

That brings my 2020 log to 140-84. That computes to 6,650 balboas (money in Panama) so I’m still playing with house money.

Below are my picks for Week 15. My big goal is to get the train back on the tracks so will I be a bit more conservative with my selections? Not!

Check them out below. Enjoy.

Houston (+7) loses to INDIANAPOLIS
I have no idea what caused the dumpster fire that is now the Texans but to say this is a team in disarray is an understatement. I don’t look for Houston to get back on track until 2021 and that bodes well for the Colts. It doesn’t hurt that Indianapolis QB Philip Rivers is paying lights out plus rookie RB Jonathan Taylor is starting to hit his stride and that spells trouble for The Lone Star Gang. INDY, 31-17, as the Horseshoes stay at the top of the AFC South.

Louisiana-Lafayette (+3 1/2) loses to COASTAL CAROLINA
OK, be honest. Before this season started, did you even know where Coastal Carolina (Conway, SC) was located or what their mascot (Chanticleers) happened to be (Rooster). Welcome to Covid 2020 and the Low Country Crew is the talk of the college football universe. The Teal & Bronze are the only squad (yup, you’re reading that right) that’s undefeated with 11 wins. I fully expect that to go to a dozen victories and the Sun Belt Conference championship. CC, 34-24, and the Chants take home the hardware and wait for a BCS bowl bid.

MISSISSIPPT STATE (+1) loses to Missouri
State is trending down and in the throngs of a three game streak. The Tigers were trending up until they got bounced big by Georgia last week. Don’t look for Mizzou to lose consecutive games to a Bulldog. UM, 41-27, and the Black & Gold lock up a major bowl berth.

ATLANTA (+6) loses to Tampa Bay
Huge game for the Bucs. The Pewter Pirates control their own destiny when it comes to a spot in the NFL’s second season for the first time in a long time. Dirty Birds will not just lie down for the Buccaneers. Interim HC Raheem Morris has the Falcons playing hard and are playing at home as well. Still, would you bet against Tom Brady in December? I’m not. TB, 30-19, as the Red & Black move closer to a playoff spot.

New England (+2 1/2) loses to MIAMI
South Florida in December is usually a House of Horrors for the Pats. Add to that the fact that the Fish are paying really good football. Plus the Dolphins can lock up a playoff slot if they win out and it starts this weekend. MIA, 23-13, as the Fins move a step closer to playing in January more than once.

WASHINGTON (+5 1/2) loses to Seattle
Yeah, I know that I been wrong about the D.C. Bunch the last couple of weeks and it cost me dearly. Still, the Burgundy & Gold are on a four game winning streak with QB Alex Smith under center. Problem is #11 got banged up last week against the 49ers and will be less than 100% against the Seahawks. Also, the Blue & Silver need a win to stay even with the Rams. SEA, 24-23, with Russell Wilson working his magic on the final drive.

Florida (-17) loses to Alabama

Air Force (-2 1/2) loses to ARMY
