Buc Up…with Rob Kriete – JANUARY 30
EDITOR’S NOTE: Five of the It’s Sports Magazine crew, Rob Kriete & Leo Haggerty & Steve Jacobsen & Trace Crisp & Matt Crisp, have been credentialed for ALL the activities leading up to Super Bowl LV. Look for some AMAZING photos, as you will see below, along with COMPELLING content for the next week. ENJOY!
-Super Bowl LV invaded Tampa this week instead of our traditional Gasparilla celebration. The most unique, socially-distanced/virtual Super Bowl experience the league has ever seen is now spread throughout downtown Tampa. I will highlight some of the offerings this exciting week for Bucs fans!
-The Gasparilla Pirate ship now sits approximately 400’ behind the Tampa Convention Center and is decked out with Super Bowl flags and regalia. The NFL debuted a pyrotechnics and laser light show off the ship last night. The five-minute show was pretty cool, with a Disney-esque firework show to accompany an epic-music soundtrack.
-There are plenty of socially-distanced viewing spots for these shows. Please wear your mask! The mayor has wisely made a mask mandate throughout the city, indoors and out, throughout the Super Bowl events.
-The José Gasparilla pirate ship laser-light show will take place four times per evening at 6:55 pm, 7:55 pm, 8:55 pm, and 9:55 pm on Saturday, January 30th, Friday, February 5th, and Super Bowl Eve, Saturday, February 6th.
-It’s a pirate life for me!
-Thank you to Carolyn Kriete for the great pictures.
-Be safe, everyone!
