Well, after a long evening tonight, the Men’s Final Four has finally been set.  Gonzaga, the #1 seed, will take on 11th seeded UCLA in one of the contests.  In the other match up, #1 seed Baylor will face #2 seed Houston in a battle of Texas.

So, with the particulars being out of the way, you probably want to inquire as to how my brackets turned out.  Well, let’s take a look, shall we?

I have two of my original four teams still dancing.  I would say that a preponderance of people that filled out March Madness brackets are in the same boat by having the Zags and the Bears still playing.

I had predicted that Michigan and San Diego State would join those two programs but that was not to be the case.  The Wolverines lost a heartbreaker to the Bruins 51-49 in the Elite Eight.  The Aztecs were not so fortunate as SDSU couldn’t solve the Syracuse zone defense and were eliminated by the Orange in the opening round.  So much for being a bracketology expert, right?

For me, there is one bright side.  I have Gonzaga beating Baylor for the title on Monday night and I’m not coming off that choice especially the way Head Coach Mark Few has his charges dismantling the opposition like a well oiled machine. .

With all that being said, all that’s left to do is to settle into my easy chair on Saturday and see how The Final Four will play out.  Hopefully, you will be able to do the same and enjoy the Madness as it come to a conclusion.
