POLL QUESTION – AUGUST 7

DO THE OLYMPICS NEED TO BE REVAMPED OR EVEN ELIMINATED?

Well, sometimes you throw out a question that our panel of experts don’t feel they need to answer.  Sadly, this was one of them.

DO THE OLYMPICS NEED TO BE REVAMPED OR EVEN ELIMINATED?

Had one response and, as you will see, not a positive one toward the Olympic Games.  Enjoy

Here’s why I believe I didn’t get my usual response to our poll question.  Some people or events you don’t want to criticize, like the pope or Special Olympics, even if there is a need for change.  That’s what could have happened here is that no one, other than my high school backcourt running mate John Lentz, wanted to offer an opinion.  Well, it’s my question so I have to respond so here goes.  Does the Olympics need to be eliminated?  No.  Does there need to be some major revamping?  Absolutely.  It’s time for the International Olympic Committee to determine what is actually a worldwide sport.  My suggestion would be if it’s not played in at least 20 countries than it should not be an Olympic event.  That’s why American football isn’t an Olympic sport. The IOC needs to step up and make a decision on what stays and what goes for the 2024 Games in Paris.
