Well that did not go well for my predictions. I got 3 out of 4 predicted games wrong and even the one I got right I was pretty off on. Hopefully, as the season goes on, I will be a little closer.  I can tell you that if the Dolphin’s continue to play like this I might have to move off the grid. The Gators. on the other hand, look like they are in for another exciting season.

Here is my weekly update for both and what I hope to see in the week ahead.

I went into this week, like most Gators fans, repeating the mantra expect the worst but hope for the best. Well, the Gators definitely performed on the best end and almost came up with one of the biggest college football upsets in years.

When Freshman phenom Anthony Richardson was announced out unless an emergency situation arose,  most expected the Tide to roll. But the Gators showed up behind quarterback Emory Jones and arguably the nation’s best rushing offense.

It was close but no cigar for the Gators as they missed a two-point conversion late in the 4th quarter, that was only forced due to an earlier missed extra point, and some late clock malfunctions that led to a two-point loss at the end. Luckily this loss does not spoil the Gators postseason hopes as a victory in the Georgia game might lead to a rematch of these teams in Atlanta.

This week expect a Gators rout of has-been Tennessee… Gators 38-17.

Not much to say on this one. The offensive line was terrible from the start and directly led to starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa getting injured early. Thus ensued a dressing down of the Dolphins that was honestly embarrassing to watch.

Backup Quarterback Jacoby Brissett came in and performed admirably but the offense could still not put up a point, even though for most of the game they even had more yards than the Bills.

This game was the Fish 6th straight loss to Buffalo and every game of the Josh Allen era. It really shows the Dolphins are a class below in the AFC East.

This week the Dolphins throw out Brissett at quarterback over the injured Tua against a high scoring Las Vegas team. I still can’t pick against my fins… Dolphins 24-17

Atlanta +3 @ New York Giants

Chicago +7.5 Cleveland

LA Rams +1 vs Tampa Bay

Sayonara until next week.
