Game On…with Rob Kriete – DECEMBER 23
T’was the night before, before the night before Christmas,
And all through MLB, not a creature was stirring, not an agent collecting a fee.
The divergent stances were hung where no one can clearly see,
In hopes that a resolution of sorts can happen for MLB.
The players and agents have nestled all snug in their beds,
with hopes of a breakthrough, or the DH they may shed.
When out on the lawn, there arose such clatter,
but, alas, there is no start-date for any pitcher or batter.
Santa sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle.
And away they all flew like the down of a thistle,
But all MLB fans as well as Santa exclaims,
Settle this nonsense right now, keep the Dh where it is right,
Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!
